In collaboration with modulr.design, Finanz-Informatik, and StarFinanz, our journey commenced in 2020 towards crafting the Sparkassen Multichannel Design System. This endeavor aimed to provide a cohesive and harmonious visual identity to the diverse array of Sparkasse products, which had previously exhibited inconsistencies. In my role as the Digital Product Designer, I assumed the crucial task of bridging the creative minds of designers and the technical prowess of developers, facilitating the seamless transition of design components into the development phase.
The design system was underpinned by a semantic framework rooted in tokenized design specifications. Notably, both the design and development environments closely mirrored each other in their structure and nomenclature. This harmonious alignment empowered developers and designers to swiftly collaborate and implement changes through seamless communication.
